Real Skateboards was founded in 1991 by professional skateboarders Tommy Guerrero and Jim Thiebaud. Dissatisfied with the corporate direction of their previous sponsor, they sought to create a brand that authentically represented skateboarders' interests. With support from industry pioneer Fausto Vitello, they established Real under the Deluxe Distribution umbrella in San Francisco, California. Since its inception, Real has been committed to producing high-quality skateboarding products and supporting the skateboarding community.
Born on November 1, 1991, in Bordentown, New Jersey, Ishod Wair began skating at a young age and quickly gained recognition for his versatile and powerful style. He turned professional for Real Skateboards in 2011 and has since amassed numerous accolades, including being named Thrasher Magazine's Skater of the Year in 2013. Dean Stockton, known professionally as D*Face, is a renowned English street artist born in 1978 in London. Influenced by graffiti, punk music, and skateboarding culture, DFace began his artistic journey by creating stickers and posters, which he disseminated throughout London. His work often critiques consumerism and the superficiality of modern society, drawing inspiration from pop art and comic book aesthetics. Over the years, DFace has become one of the most prolific contemporary urban artists, with his art featured in galleries and on streets worldwide.
