The Quasi Deck Bobby De Keyzer Scram (8.5) is a visually arresting example of Quasi’s unmistakable approach to skateboard art and design. The bottom graphic is a bold, chaotic collage composed of surrealist and abstract imagery, blending photography, digital manipulation, and painterly textures. Dominated by lush tones of lime green, jet black, burnt orange, and soft natural wood grain, the artwork evokes a dreamlike atmosphere that borders on the unsettling.
A fragmented blue figure—part mannequin, part human—appears mid-movement across the center, while a stark, chrome-anatomical model anchors the bottom of the graphic. Above, a giant insect head and a human hand invade the top of the deck, adding to the tension between the organic and mechanical. The artist’s name, "De Keyzer," is placed subtly in a distressed, typewriter-style font just off-center, partially submerged in the surrounding visual noise, making it feel like it’s emerging—or disappearing—into the chaos.
Quasi Skateboards, formerly known as Mother Collective, is a skater-owned brand founded in 2015 after the abrupt closure of Alien Workshop’s first iteration. The brand is known for its avant-garde art direction, premium wood construction, and tight-knit team of creative, progressive skaters. Quasi decks are made in the USA, typically at PS Stix or BBS woodshops, and are prized for their high-quality shapes and unique graphics that reflect a raw, often disorienting aesthetic sensibility.
Bobby De Keyzer, a Canadian-born skateboarder from Ontario, is one of the most celebrated modern stylists in street skating. Known for his flawless technique, visual creativity, and artistic sensibility, De Keyzer’s approach to skateboarding often mirrors his involvement in fine art and photography. After brief stints with AWS and Habitat, he found a perfect fit with Quasi, a brand that matches his cerebral, refined energy. His skating is marked by precise, high-concept tricks that feel effortless, and his personal interests in visual art and minimalism often bleed into his pro model graphics.
Sized at 8.5 inches wide, the deck offers a versatile platform suited for both street and transition, while its distinctive graphic ensures it stands out—whether you're riding it or hanging it on a wall. True to Quasi’s ethos, this deck isn’t just for skateboarding; it’s a piece of visual culture.
