The Heroin Deck Team Brain On Eggs (9.5) is a wild, offbeat graphic masterclass that taps straight into the brand’s raw and irreverent identity. The board features a bold, magenta-stained veneer as the base with a two-panel cartoon-style illustration of a cracked egghead character. The top panel, labeled “This is your brain,” shows the egg nervously staring at a raw brain on a plate. The bottom panel—“This is your brain on eggs!”—takes a more absurdist twist, with the same egg character lifting the brain and awkwardly cramming it into his cracked skull, all drawn in a signature scrappy, hand-drawn style. Below it all is the Heroin Skateboards logo, scrawled in bold white over the hot pink woodgrain, sealing the board’s gnarly personality.
The width is 9.5 inches, giving it a stability-heavy shape perfect for pool riding, crusty curbs, or straight-up sidewalk cruising, while the slightly squared nose and fat tail give it that unmistakable old-school-meets-modern Heroin silhouette.
Heroin Skateboards was founded in 1998 by UK artist, skater, and graphic visionary Mark “Fos” Foster, who turned his sketchbook weirdness into one of the most respected DIY skate brands globally. Everything about Heroin screams independent—from the grotesque graphics to the fun shapes—with a “skate how you want” philosophy that resonates with misfits and creatives. Fos' graphics are instantly recognizable for their gritty, hand-drawn aesthetic and twisted humor, and the “Brain on Eggs” deck is a perfect example of his style.
We’re proud to say Fos is a great friend of the shop, and both he and his wife are regular visitors at our Monrovia location. Whether he's hanging out, drawing something absurd on the spot, or just talking skate nerd stuff, he’s a real one who’s always stayed true to skateboarding’s roots. This deck isn’t just a killer ride—it’s a piece of the Heroin legacy straight from the mind of one of skateboarding’s most creative forces.
Stix SGV has proudly served the San Gabriel Valley skateboarding community since the late ‘90s. With three locations across Los Angeles County, we’ve been deeply rooted in the local scene. Our Monrovia shop has been a staple since 1997, followed by our Claremont location in 2014, and our South Pasadena shop opening its doors in 2022. Our mission has always been simple: to uphold skateboarding culture and stay true to our community.
