The GX1000 Team Sandstorm Deck (8.25" x 32.125") delivers raw, unfiltered energy straight from the hills of San Francisco to the streets worldwide. This board features bold, blazing graphics by the artist SAVIE (also known as SAVIEOTR / SAVIEMSK), whose work draws heavily from the graffiti and underground art movements that influence the visual identity of GX1000. The “Sandstorm” graphic erupts in explosive strokes of yellow, orange, and black, echoing the chaos of a desert storm and the high-speed, high-risk skating GX is known for. With spray paint aesthetics and street-tag details, the design gives off an improvised, rebellious vibe that perfectly aligns with the brand's raw ethos.
Measuring 8.25" wide x 32.125" long with a 14.25" wheelbase, this deck is slightly narrower than its 8.5” counterpart, offering a bit more agility without compromising the stability needed for crusty street terrain and downhill attacks. It’s made from 7-ply North American maple, pressed at the BBS woodshop, one of the most reputable deck manufacturers in the industry. Riders can expect consistent pop, durability, and a medium to steep concave that gives you control without feeling too stiff underfoot.
GX1000, founded by filmmaker Ryan Garshell, started as a video project capturing the fearless downhill bombing culture of San Francisco. That raw, unapologetic attitude quickly evolved into one of the most respected underground brands in skateboarding. Known for its heavy visuals, unique artwork, and a roster of skaters that truly push the limits, GX1000 represents skateboarding in its most chaotic, authentic form.
The Sandstorm deck is more than just a tool—it’s a graphic representation of the chaos GX embraces. Whether you’re charging down hills, attacking gaps, or just living fast, this deck speaks to skaters who don’t care about the rules—they’re here to make noise and leave their mark.
